RPI Panhellenic Council

My name is Caroline Ringel and I am this year's Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment! I’m thrilled you’re interested in joining a sorority and becoming a member of the great Greek system we have here at RPI. Coming in as a female in a male-dominated school, I was intimidated and skeptical about finding a strong group of women to call my best friends. And it was because of this fear that I first started looking into joining a sorority my fall semester of freshman year. Not only was I lucky enough to find a sorority where I felt like I fit in and could find my future best friends, but I also found a place that  presented me with multiple leadership positions, academic support, volunteering opportunities, and a group of people who push me to be the best version of myself. I was also able to form a deeper bond to the overall RPI campus, as well as develop connections with girls in other houses and the Greek community as a whole. Joining this community can open so many doors for you, just like it did for me. Myself and the entire Panhellenic Council are so excited to introduce you to our amazing community, and potentially help you on your journey to join it.

Panhellenic, or sorority, recruitment is a period of time in which RPI’s sororities extend offers of membership to women on campus. Throughout this process, you will meet many extraordinary women, learn about a variety of philanthropies these sororities support, and potentially find your future home. The primary recruitment period is a very structured process where you will get the opportunity to learn about each individual house and their values/beliefs. It is important to know what is expected of you throughout this process, so I encourage you to read over what each day of primary recruitment is like on our   Fall Recruitment page.

To participate in recruitment, you must sign up prior to the first rotational event. Registration will open on July 16th and will remain open until the start of primary recruitment. However, I highly suggest signing up as soon as possible in order to receive important information regarding dates and events. You can sign up under the Fall Recruitment page.

I can’t wait to meet you and to welcome you into the Panhellenic Community here at RPI! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you have regarding Sorority life, the recruitment process, or Greek life in general. You can reach me at rpi.panhel.vpr@gmail.com. I look forward to helping you through this exciting process

In Panhellenic Spirit,

Caroline Ringel
